**What You Have**:

- a warm, friendly and supportive attitude.
- a creative and confident approach to challenges and problem solving, and endless patience.
- the desire to work with children with special needs and make a difference for them and their families.
- preferred experience working with children, early childhood education, or special needs education.
- a reliable vehicle, as our clients may want you to take them out in the community for fun activities.
- a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, and Child Intervention Check.
- First Aid with CPR Level C certification.
- 1 year of post-secondary education.

**Duties**:

- supervise and care for children in clients residence, bathing, dressing, and feeding children.
- plan, prepare, and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties.
- oversee children’s activities, such as meals, rest periods, as instructed by employer.
- maintain a safe and healthy environment in home.
- assist the child in personal hygiene.
- tend to the emotional well-being of the child and support their social development.
- de-escalate children according to the methods requested by the parents.
- organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings.
- take children to and from school/appointments.
- may be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child.

Kids Without Limits supports parents and guardians of children with autism and/or other developmental delays, by coordinating temporary relief and the opportunity to take a break from the demands of daily care of their loved ones. The support we provide enables children to have meaningful and successful lives in their community. Kids Without Limits is a locally owned and operated respite agency in the Greater Edmonton area. We are dedicated to providing enriching and engaging experiences for children, as well as the opportunity to relax and recharge for parents. We understand the adversities that families experience when caring for special needs, and that's why respite is our heart and soul

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Evenings
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- working with children: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
