We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will assist with transactions, answer inquiries, and ensure fuel purchases are being accounted for. Your ability to manage time efficiently and maintain a positive attitude will be noticed. We are seeking someone who is self efficient, meaning, they have the initiative to complete duties without continuous supervision, reminders, or retraining on the expected standards.

**Cashier Duties**:

- **Customer Service**: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner as they walk in, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
- **Process Transactions**: Accurately process customer purchases, including fuel, snacks, drinks, and other merchandise, using the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
- **Handle Cash and Payments**: Manage cash, card, and gift-card transactions, providing correct change and receipts, while also operating on the proper machine.
- **Promote Store Items**: Encourage customers to purchase additional items based on in store promotions or complimentary products.
- **Balance Cash Drawer**: Ensure cash drawer is balanced at the start and end of each shift, and complete daily paperwork.
- **Maintain a Clean Register Area**: Keep the cashier station clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., receipt paper, pens).

**Maintenance Duties**:

- **Fuel Pump Maintenance**: Ensure fuel pumps are functioning properly, reporting any malfunctions or issues to management for repair after halting and conning off the pump.
- **General Facility Maintenance**: Regularly clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the store including hourly restroom checks, floors, windows, and parking areas.
- **Restocking and Organizing**: Replenish inventory on the shelves, coolers, and other displays, ensuring products are organized with the oldest in the front and properly labeled.
- **Trash and Waste Management**: Regularly empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste, keeping the station clean and presentable.
- **Fluid Checks**: Ensure that windshield washer fluid, are properly stocked and accessible to customers, including the self wash stations at the pumps.
- **Safety Inspections**: Monitor the gas station for any safety hazards (e.g., spills, broken equipment) and address them promptly & inspect card readers.
- **Shovelling/Snow Removal (if applicable)**: In colder climates, handle snow removal or ice, salting in and around the gas station as needed.

**Experience**
- Lotto experience is helpful but not mandatory
- Knowledge on how to properly clean
- Money Handling
- Stocking (understanding first in first out, checking expiration, and making note of items that need to be ordered, etc)
