**Position Scope**

The Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist is an integral member of the documentation team. This position requires a strong technical background with advanced professional writing skills to produce reference guides, knowledge-based articles, and other helpful product information, which is published on our company's documentation site. In addition to creating new content for recently developed software features and products, this role also edits and revises existing technical documentation. The Junior Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist works independently and in collaboration with other technical writers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create engaging and informative documentation, which helps end-users learn about our software products.

**Requirements**:

- College or University Degree in English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
- Certificate in Technical and Professional Communication or relevant experience
- At least 1 year of experience in technical writing, preferably in a software development environment
- Experience using standard technical writing tools (e.g., desktop publishing software, screen capture software, Adobe Acrobat, Office 365, etc.)
- Strong technical background, with the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels
- Experience working with databases would be preferred
- Knowledge of one of the following would be preferred: ERP Management software, Construction Industry software, Payroll, Financials, Accounting, or Construction Project Management.
