**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Conduct therapeutic activities to promote patients' physical and mental well-being.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for daily living.
- Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and organized.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and best practices within occupational therapy.

**Requirements**:

- Must be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with valid state licensure.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
- Experience in acute care settings or pediatrics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence in task execution.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their functional abilities.
