**Skilled Field Trainer**

The Skilled Field Trainer will provide employees with the knowledge and skills to perform their tasks safely, and efficiently. In addition to developing skills and exposure to Ketek rental fleet of equipment the field trainer will require the employee to demonstrate competency. This will include a practical demonstration whenever possible, and assessment of the employee’s abilities to ensure competency.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Ensure employees are thoroughly trained in the safe and efficient handling of all mobile equipment, power tools, diesel equipment, pumps, lighting and hand tools just to name a few.
- Ensure employees are familiar with Occupational Health and Safety legislation, Ketek Policies, Standards, and Work Procedures, and any other applicable documentation
- Provide corrective action training sessions within the required deadlines and according to standards
- Recommend safer methods, procedures, and preventative measures
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment, where required
- Demonstrate various field operations set-up as per business type scope of work. For example, well step test, well pointing, diesel pump water circulation line.
- Receive, understand and execute instructions to the new employees
- Disassemble equipment, if needed, to thoroughly clean
- Identify faulty/damaged equipment and/or defective materials and inform supervisor of problem
- Repair/service submersible pumps and other pumping equipment

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years of experience training adult learners
- High school diploma / GED
- Class 5 Driver’s Licence and a clean driver’s abstract
- Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed
- Ability to deal with the public in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner
