**Basic Function/Essential Duties**:
**Material Handling**:

- Match hose, fittings, and accessories to work orders
- Monitor and maintain assembler workload by sorting and distributing work
- Deliver other supplies and stationery to assembly cells
- Monitor and manage inventory levels in the department for hose and fittings
- Communicate between Planner, Assemblers and Warehouse team
- Prioritize and distribute rush orders

**Production Planning**:

- Monitor and maintain assembler workload through scheduling orders
- Monitor order due dates to ensure customer requirements are met
- Scheduling and sorting work orders to optimize the run sequence
- Create and print labels
- Abide by company and/or regulatory policies, procedures, and regulations as it pertains to the job i.e. Employee Handbook, Health & Safety Policy, WHMIS, Code of Ethics, etc.

**Lean Activities**:

- Participate in daily team meetings
- Assist with department data tracking and review
- Provide feedback, participate in team discussions and work together to resolve problems
- Support and take a leading role in department problem solving, 5S and process improvement activities
- Participate on a Production High Performance Team
- Attend Lean training courses
- Participate in Lean Kaizen events

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of high school diploma or post-secondary education
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an asset
- Proficient in using a computer
- Ability to lift to 35 lbs consistently
