Manufacturing Operator

**Parker Hannifin Canada** is hiring a **permanent full time** **Cylinder Assembler/Tie Rod Operator ** in our Milton location.

**Starting Rate**:$23.00 per hour based on your experience, profit sharing and company benefits upon start of employment.

**Experience and Qualifications**:
**Assembler/Air Test/Tie Rod Machining Responsibilities**:

- Assemble all required parts per the job ticket/drawing/other engineering or sales information into a quality cylinder assembly
- Assemble and stage all piston rod assemblies for final assembly of cylinders
- Read manufacturing AUTOCAD drawings and instructions
- Learn and follow ISO and facility procedures
- Communicate any known production problems, engineering problems to the related departments as well as supervisors and the Plant Manager as necessary
- Cut tie rods to length using tie rod shears
- Operate tie rod threader
- Gauge threads using go and no-go gauges
- Manufacture tie rods as per schedule
- Perform Pneumatic Test as required

**Education/Experience/Certifications required**:

- Grade 12 SSGD or Equivalent
- Fluid Power Certification an asset
- Crane Certificate an asset
- CWB Certified Welding an asset
- WHMIS Training

**Skills**:

- Good mechanical aptitude with ability to read engineering drawings and charts
- Ability to access drawings, programs and documentations using a computer
- Inspection of parts (inspection techniques, interpretation of tolerances, gauges)
- Shop math - Ability to convert from Imperial to Metric and vice versa
- Inspection equipment knowledge
- Good manual dexterity
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Experience using measuring devices
- Use of crane, bench vise, various hand tools, air torque gun, measuring equipment and computer.
