**Opportunity: Director of Human Resources**

The Director of Human Resources plays vital role in Operations of the Trenton Woodworks plants, reporting to the CEO. In this position, you can expect to play a key role in the daily processes and procedures as well as building excellent relationships with team members, while supporting a diverse and inclusive working environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Build HR strategies that support a positive and advanced culture at Trenton Woodworks sites.
- Responsible for the implementation of all initiatives specific to HR and ensuring adhesion and measurement of these programs.
- Providing Human Resources support to all operating divisions, working with empathy and confidentiality.
- Manage recruitment and selection process, ensuring diversity, equity and inclusion policies are met.
- Responsible for implementing effective and complete onboarding processes for all positions, ensuring Team Leaders are correctly and fully adhering to these processes.
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with other HR team members and other staff.
- Maintaining a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits policy.
- Ensure HR policies that are compliant with labour laws.
- Oversee employee relations to cultivate a positive and respectful workplace culture.
- Contribute to the Occupational Health and Safety group.
- Assist with employee retention efforts.
- Collaborate with General Manager on all remunerations, commissions, rewards and other employee benefits.
- Liaison with other Macklin HR personnel.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources/ Designation in Chartered Professional in Human Resources.
- 5+ years of Human Resources Management, preferably in a Construction or Manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of labour and employment laws
- Strong communication and leadership skills

**Salary**

Salary dependent on experience. Medical and dental benefits, RRSP matching, paid volunteer time, vacation time, paid time off and other benefits.

*Position is flexible working hours, however in person hours include Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Pay: $100,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
