Support Worker (Part-time, Day Shifts)

We are currently seeking a Support Worker for an active gentleman who is in his early 20's.

Employment Status: Part-time (25 hours per week)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11am - 4pm (flexibility in shift start/end time permitted)

Location: East Selkirk, Manitoba

Wage: $22 per hour depending on education and experience

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the gentleman during the day in various active community settings. Examples include:
bowling, swimming, trampoline parks, walking outdoors, zoo, and gyms
- Some personal care assistance

Required Skills and Experience:
Experience in the disability field as well as NVCI training an asset, but not required.
- Be comfortable going out in the community to events and locations as desired by the gentleman
- Have a vehicle.
- Be fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Understand non-verbal communication
- Strong decision making and judgment ability
- High standards of ethics, accountability, dependability, and integrity
- Ability to adapt in response to changing needs and environments
- Be out-going, patient, and easy-going

Other Requirements:

- Full Driver’s License required
- Personal vehicle
- Clear Criminal Record Check required
- Clear Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check required
- First Aid/CPR Required - if you do not have a valid CPR/First Aid certificate, you must complete within

your first 6 months of employment
