Scope of the position:
The Assembly Tech will be responsible for assembling, operating, maintaining various types of equipment’s, machines or electronic devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general Assembly support within the department as required including but not limited to: Suspension components, Hinges and various other assemblies.
- Machine operating: hydraulics press, brake press,etc.
- Follow build sheets and fill control plans based on sub-assembly & assemblies manufactured
- Computer competent, i.e., Basic excel, word, AutoCAD
- Suggest product improvements and identify potential build issues
- Ensure that the customer’s requirements, which include project timing, part quality and delivery are understood and met
- Documenting Quality and following assembly procedures
- Consider alternative solutions for given tasks or problems
- Attend meetings as required
- Be responsible for all parameters of assigned tasks
- Ensure the shop environment is kept safe, clean and organized to enable timely and safe manufacturing techniques
- Clearly communicate project and other details to the supervisor/ area lead/ program management team
- Maintain accurate timesheets and ensure they are completed on time
- Follow all documented quality procedures
- Observe all company safety rules, policies and procedures
- Attend all required training courses
- Participate in MAMT’s continuous improvement activities
- Foster good employee relations
- Perform all other duties as determined by the General Manager or his designate
- Must be familiar with MAMT’s Quality System procedures
