Reports to: Product Release Leader

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform thermal process review to ensure the thermal process critical parameters are met prior to positive release of commercially sterile products.
- Ensures potentially affected finished product are placed on incident hold in the ERP system.
- Review and compile all production documentation and trends from electronic historian required for the thermal process review.
- Establish corrective actions for deviations are identified during the thermal process review with cross functional team and food safety team.
- Ensure the assigned timelines for the corrective actions are met in a timely manner and follow up with process owners.
- Perform positive release of finished products which includes review of micro results for compliance to ensure on-going customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate third party testing and track results required for positive release of finished product.
- Maintain finished product release trackers to ensure timelines for key activities (on time micro testing, visual inspection for factory samples) are met.
- Attend to third party and client audits, assure follow up and responses to audit reports and corrective actions.
- Provides support with batch sheet and product specification implementation. Review & edit documentation.
- Develop and conduct training for work instructions and SOPs.
- Creating new forms and updating old ones related with all production lines.
- Develop new HACCP plan and update any changes.
- Participate in change management initiatives.
- Validation and verification of new products, line, and equipment.
- Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
- Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
- Other duties as assigned.

Profile
- University degree in food science is required or equivalent experience in food industry quality is required
- Prior experience working with low acid beverage production is an asset
- Excellent communication skills verbal & written (this position requests a lot of reporting & professional documents to edit)
- Good knowledge of the food environment, food safety systems and the related regulatory requirements (CFIA, Health Canada, USDA, FDA)
- Possess a good knowledge of food safety system (HACCP and other Food safety program certification)
