**Job Description Overview**:The Project Coordinator will play a key role in overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects. These could include the installation of EV charging stations, electrical upgrades, and the construction of facilities geared toward supporting EV adoption. A strong background in electrical engineering technology or related electrical field is essential for ensuring that projects are executed to technical specifications, safety standards, and within budgets.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Project Planning and Coordination**:

- Work closely with Project Team, engineers, service team and other stakeholders to define project scope, timeline, and deliverables.
- Assist in the creation and review of project schedules, ensuring tasks are allocated and completed on time.
- Coordinate between different teams (engineering, construction, procurement) to ensure smooth execution of EV infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with local utilities through project lifecycle.
- Provide permitting support with local municipalities.
- **Technical Support and Expertise**:

- Provide electrical expertise, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., CEC, CSA, NBC).
- Assist in the design and technical evaluation of electrical systems for EV charging stations and related infrastructure.
- Support the Project Team in troubleshooting/commissioning technical issues during project execution.
- Provide escalation support on EV service and maintenance.
- **Procurement and Vendor Management**:

- Assist in sourcing electrical equipment and materials, ensuring they meet project requirements.
- Work with vendors and contractors to ensure that electrical components are supplied on time and within budget.
- **Budget and Cost Management**:

- Assist in monitoring project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure that project work stays within budget.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for upper management.
- **Compliance and Quality Control**:

- Ensure that all installations comply with local codes and standards.
- Perform site quality checks and inspections ensuring all work complies with project specifications.
- Preform site commissioning with vendor reps/contractors.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed project documentation, including technical drawings, contracts, schedules, and status reports.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- **Safety Management**:

- Support the HSSE program with confidence specific to electrical work and EV construction projects.
- Ensure the team adheres to proper HSSE guidelines during installations and maintenance.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Electrical Engineering Technologist or Certified Electrical Journeyman
- **Experience**: At least 2-3 years of field experience coordinating electrical construction, ideally with exposure to electric vehicle infrastructure projects.
- **Knowledge**: Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and EV infrastructure standards.
- **Skills**: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management software and Excel, office 365
- **Certifications**: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications considered asset.

**Ideal Background for the Role**:

- **Electrical Engineering Technologist/Certified Electrical Journeyman**: A strong foundation in electrical systems and construction, particularly in areas related to power distribution, electrical wiring, or EV charging stations.
- **EV Construction and Service Experience**: Familiarity with electric vehicle infrastructure projects, including the installation and maintenance of EV chargers.
- **Project Management**: Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks and teams, ensuring deadlines and technical requirements are met.
