**Role Summary**
The Manager, Project Delivery is our front-line manager for our project management team members. They work with the client and our team members to carry out innovative solutions, and align to the mission and the goals of Project X. This role is partially billable up to 50%, and will vary based on the number of resources managed. This is a great role for someone aspiring to become a people leader or has some experience managing people. The role will report to the Practice Manager, Project Delivery.
This role has up to 8 direct reports. Direct reports fall within the following roles:

- Coordinator, Project Management
- Associate Consultant, Project Management
- Consultant, Project Management
- Sr. Consultant, Project Management

**Major Areas of Responsibility**
- Talent Management which includes Performance Management, Training & Development & Team building.
- Help team members with successful delivery of their project by providing guidance and coaching of best practices, and tips of how they can be more successful in role and their approach with clients.
- Identify and document best practices and process development/ improvement.
- Assist with Resource Management & recruitment efforts to build out the team.
- Supporting in Sales, Marketing & Branding and participate in trade specific activities for networking and Project X brand awareness.
- Develop a deep, multilayered understanding of clients’ business issues and data challenges and proactively de-escalate for resolution or further escalation.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders in decision making.
- Engage technical and non-technical client staff in update communications, using appropriate language and terminology for the intended audience.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of, and adopt, relevant market trends and practices.

**Required Education and Experience**:

- 7+ years of project management experience in delivery of complex projects
- Over 1 year of experience managing people
- Detailed, practical working knowledge in Functions, operation, and mission of Project Management
- Project delivery methodologies for both Agile and Waterfall
- Project documentation, project plans, workbooks, Gantt charts, risk matrices, issue logs, communications schedules, RACI charts
- Project Management tools, such as MS Project, Jira, Slack, SAP
- Databases, data warehouses, big data, analytics and reporting
- Budgeting and accounting principles and practices
- Visualization tools, specifically Tableau, Click and MicroStrategy
- Critical thinking capabilities and a consultative mindset.

**Nice to Have**:

- Specialized training in management is an asset
- Sales support experience is an asset
- PMI/PMP, Agile certification is an asset
