**Cork and Flame** is looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented **Prep Cook** to support our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining kitchen efficiency and ensuring smooth service by handling the foundational preparation work with precision and care.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards (chopping, portioning, measuring, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, storage areas, and equipment
- Assist chefs and line cooks with prep work and daily kitchen tasks
- Label and store food items properly to ensure freshness and reduce waste
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation
**Qualifications**:
- Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions precisely
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Food Handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Team-player attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
