**TITLE: Faculty Support Specialist (FSS)**

**POSITION OVERVIEW**: Under the direction of the Instructional Support Centre Manager (ISCM), the Faculty Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting faculty and staff with issues arising from digital learning resources. The Specialist will also support the Instructional Support Centre Coordinator (ISCC) and the ISCM with other tasks as directed.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor's degree (preferred) or some education at the postsecondary level
- Minimum of one year’s related work experience
- One year of teaching experience in post-secondary education considered an asset
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with speakers of other languages

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Providing individualized support and training to faculty on the use of instructional support technologies supported by Alexander College
- Developing and implementing faculty support initiatives to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
- Assisting in the development and facilitation of workshops, training sessions, and professional development opportunities for faculty
- Developing and distributing guides, checklists, “cheat sheets”, and other documentation that support faculty
- Collaborating with the ISCM and the ISCC to address or mitigate the trends impacting faculty
- Implementing, analyzing, and reporting general data collection to determine and/or improve overall academic effectiveness
- Assisting with formulating term and annual ISC reports
- Other duties as assigned by the ISCS or the Dean’s Office
