Master Mechanic is a Canadian controlled private corporation, established in 1982 as a franchisor in the after-market automotive repair and maintenance business. With 39 franchise locations throughout Southern Ontario, the firm has a strong reputation for high quality auto repair and regular vehicle maintenance.
We are looking for a full-time **Bookkeeper / Office Manager** to join our Head Office team in Mississauga (border off Etobicoke) Head Office. (moving from our current Head Office at 3250 Ridgeway Drive in Mississauga, ON in August/September)
Salary commensurate with experience and abilities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Data input of sales, cash receipts and disbursements
- General ledger reconciliations including bank accounts, credit cards and clearing accounts
- Bank deposits
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Collections
- Payroll administration and reconciliation
- Understanding, preparing and remitting HST, source deductions, WSIB, corporate tax and EHT
- Preparing reports for management
- Coordinating with and assisting external accountants
- Oversee internal office administration and coordination
- Coordinate with advertising agency
**Required experience & skills**
- Proficiency with Excel and MS Word
- Experience with A/P, A/R, bank & G/L reconciliation, payroll and inventory
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Strong English written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent computer skills and ability to adapt to new software systems.
- Very good analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail
**Preferred experience & skills**
- Bookkeeping experience: 3 years or more
- Post-secondary accreditation in accounting or bookkeeping
- Experience with Sage 50 accounting program
- Bachelor's Degree
