Jo’s Italian Deli is a family-run Italian restaurant and deli. Over time, we’ve picked through our family’s recipe books and grown our offering from a few sandwiches to include a full menu of homemade sandwiches and pasta for lunch and dinner as well as offer a variety of imported Italian grocery items.

Today, in both Chilliwack and Vancouver, our growing team’s goal is to continue to serve these same staple foods to an increasing number of guests and friends in a casual, convenient, and friendly space.

**The Opportunity**

We're a growing business and looking for people to help In addition to serving our guests, team members make our pasta from scratch, slice the meats for our sandwiches to order, and keep our grocery section stocked. Were looking for an Assistant Manager capable of coordinating these stations as well as working the floor with the team.

**Position Overview**

Our Assistant Manager helps lead of our store. They’ll work with a group of Supervisors and Managers to run the daily operations and administration of the store with support from the owner. In time, you'll be expected to:

- Lead the team by example with a steady floor presence in the daily operations of the deli
- Develop and maintain a strong team through regular training and assisting fellow managers and supervisors in encouraging the team to run the store according to food, service, and cleanliness standards
- Ensure the smooth operation of the store by taking inventory, placing food orders, and coordinating catering orders
- Be responsible for the store’s food and labour budgets by actively managing both while working the floor

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
