**Barista Job Description**:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled **Barista** to join the Wise Town Café team. Our café is dedicated to serving specialty coffee with exceptional quality and care, and we are seeking someone who shares our love for coffee and commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience.

**Responsibilities**
- **Craft exceptional beverages**: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including specialty lattes, pour-overs, and espresso-based beverages, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup.
- **Calibrate espresso machines**: Maintain precise calibration of the espresso machine to extract the ideal espresso shot, ensuring the flavor profile of the coffee beans is highlighted.
- **Showcase coffee expertise**: Present and explain the unique characteristics and flavor profiles of our specialty coffee beans to guests.
- **Handle specialty coffee**: Prepare and serve coffee using advanced brewing methods, such as pour-over, AeroPress, and Chemex, following the highest standards.
- **Maintain standards**: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- **Engage with guests**: Provide exceptional service, offering recommendations and creating a welcoming environment.
- **Educate guests**: Share knowledge about coffee origins, roasting processes, and brewing techniques to enhance the guest experience.
- **Support the team**: Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a barista, particularly in specialty coffee environments.
- Expertise in calibrating espresso machines and dialing in coffee for optimal extraction.
- In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
- Ability to create and customize specialty lattes with precision and creativity.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities in a fast-paced setting.
- Passion for coffee and willingness to continually learn and grow in the craft.

Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
