For individuals new to the industry, Trail’s minimum requirements include holding a valid driver’s license. If you are undergoing an Appliance serving course without prior appliance repair experience, you will require a CFC handling certificate and an appliance gas serving certificate and maintain a driver’s license. This role is based out of Trail's Warehouse facility on Annacis Island, and Builder Warehouse as required. **As the Appliance Technician, you will...**: - Install, service, and repair various household appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, dryers etc - Evaluate and troubleshoot problems - Stay up-to-date on the latest appliance technology and parts - Possess extremely organizational, time management, problem solving, and communication skills - Demonstrate a high level of electrical and mechanical aptitude - Be able to maneuver equipment to in order to perform all required services. - Work in a safe and responsible manner to avoid injuries, damages to property, loss of unused parts. - Detailed completion of all necessary paperwork, including work orders and service orders. Must be able to order parts and track inventory. **The education/experience we need**: - A minimum of three years' experience servicing major brands of kitchen and laundry appliances - Appliance journeyman ticket or Kwantlen College Appliance Repair technician Certificate - Strong mechanical aptitude - Elevated attention to detail - Strong Customer service skills and helpful attitude - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for time management - "C" Gas ticket and CFC certification - Able to perform sealed system repairs to refrigeration units - Valid Driver license, must provide a clean drivers abstract upon request **We hope you are passionate about** - Actively facilitating change and improvement within the department - Working with others to achieve individual and shared team goals - Working through tight deadlines while change is a constant **Compensation**: - $19.89/hr We inspire possibilities, make shopping ridiculously easy, and help create special moments at home.
