Project Manager

Strata Engineering Inc. is a full-service engineering firm specializing in the building science sector. We provide engineering services and construction administration for new and existing construction. Our project scopes include building envelope design and remediation, structural assessments, plumbing, and geotechnical work. Strata Engineering has integrated business intelligence with innovative design to create a unique company which continues to grow.

We are currently looking for a seasoned Project Manager in our Burnaby location. In this role you will work directly with our team of engineers and technologists to ensure successful execution of our projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Developing and communicating project scopes and objectives with involvement from all relevant stakeholders while ensuring engineering standards and technical feasibility are adhered to.
• Scheduling third parties/vendors and internal resources for successful, and timely, execution of project tasks.
• Developing a detailed project budget and plan to track performance and overall health of the project.
• Forecasting workload and ensuring staff utilization is in line with company expectations.
• Providing weekly summaries on active projects to upper management and identifying any issues, risks or roadblocks.
• Communicating with clients on a regular basis.
• Presenting technical material to strata councils - being the liaison between the client and engineers.
• Overseeing the tendering administration and analysis including third parties and vendor relationship management.
• Supporting the preparation and negotiation of building/development permit packages.
• Conducting career planning and performance evaluations for direct reports.

**Qualifications**

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution or demonstrated work experience in construction management.
• 5 years of progressive project management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and client management skills.
• Experience with formal presentations for public audiences.
• Attention to detail and passion for quality.
• Managed teams of 2 - 5 personnel.
• Understanding of CCDC contracts.

**Preferred Qualifications**

• PMP or eligibility to receive in next 12 months.
• Experience in technical writing and quality management.
• Experience with managing and updating a CRM.
