Hardscape Team Leader

**FULL TIME YEAR ROUND POSITION**
HardscapeTeam Leader is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time and on budget by managing their crews and coordinating all aspects of landscape construction. (Winter work is a combination of Hardscape jobs and assisting Woodworking department)
**Responsibilities**:
Setting up plans for each project and plan every day
Instruct and supervise in the installation of landscape construction projects such as installation of driveways, patios, natural stone and commercial retaining walls, garden beds, planting, and shoreline restoration work
Estimate work and order task material, plan work completion schedules daily reporting to Supervisor
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance to specifications and contract requirements
Ensure employees comply with health and safety policies, including wearing of appropriate PPE
Ability to properly grade a property, ensuring positive drainage.
Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery on the jobsite
Responsible for communication to designer, project manager, client, and team
Train new employees and provide ongoing training
Act as a professional representative of the company for client questions and concerns
**Requirements**:
Secondary School Education is preferable
3+ Years of Landscape Construction Experience
Diploma in Horticulture or related field an asset
A valid G drivers license is mandatory
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Work with mínimal supervision and possesses the ability to motivate others
Attention to detail, excellent record keeping, excellent time management skills
Manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines
Problem-solving and able to come up with a new plan on short notice
Ability to lift heavy loads and work in difficult weather conditions
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 - 50 per week
