Team Lead Woodworking

**Full-time YEAR ROUND position.**
Team Leader Woodworking is responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed on time and on budget. Plan and coordinate work activity managing crews while maintaining a safe work environment. _**Looking for someone with extensive framing experience.**_
**Responsibilities**:
- Respectful and courteous with Team Members and Clients
- Clean criminal record
- Class G license with clean drivers abstract
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements to complete projects
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems in accordance to the Ontario Building Code
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Successfully schedule and oversee sub-contractors to complete projects
- Setting up job task, schedule and directing activities of crews in the installation of carpentry construction for each project
- Instruct and supervise in the installation of landscape construction projects.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance to specifications and contract requirements
- Ensure employees comply with health and safety policies, including wearing of appropriate PPE and following Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Responsible for Daily Communication between clients, designer and crews
- Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery on jobsite
- Train new employees and provide ongoing training
- Act as a professional representative of the company for client questions and concerns
**Requirements**:
Secondary School Education is preferable
Excellent understanding of the Ontario building code practices
5 years of Carpentry experience
A valid G drivers license is mandatory
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Work with mínimal supervision and possesses the ability to motivate others
Attention to detail, excellent record keeping, excellent time management skills
Manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines
Problem-solving and able to come up with a new plan on short notice
Working from Heights experience required
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 48 per week
