This role performs maintenance and repair duties related to the building, grounds and equipment in one of a variety of areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education, Training, and Experience** - Grade 10 plus two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience - Valid driver’s license. **Skills and Abilities** - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. - Ability to deal with others eff ectively. - Ability to organize work. - Ability to operate related equipment. - Physically capable of carrying out duties of the position. **KEY RESPONSABILITIES**: - Perform general repairs and maintenance on furniture, walls, doors, windows, flooring, and ceilings. - Repair and replace plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, and supply/waste lines. - Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, kitchen appliances); install switches, timers, and outlets. - Conduct regular inspections of fire safety systems and report or repair defects. - Maintain preventive maintenance procedures and recommend or purchase repair parts as needed. - Operate a company vehicle to pick up supplies. - Move heavy equipment and furniture as required. - Participate in meetings, in-services, and job-related training. - Clear snow from building entrances. - Perform other related duties as assigned. **BENEFITS** - A competitive Salary: $27.10 Per hour - Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and pension packages. - Opportunities to Grow - A Supportive and Inclusive Workplace: Providence Living is committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all staff members.
