**Job Overview**

The company has an opening for a Building Maintenance Worker

The Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for keeping our building functional and livable.

Specific duties:

- Perform daily inspection on building and housing grounds and perform routine maintenance jobs and minor repairs such as painting, caulking, drywall repairs, lock repairs, window/door repairs, plumbing repairs, electrical system repairs, window covers repairs, appliances repairs and make notations of the overall physical condition of every property and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of property including removal of garbage and administering garbage enclosures, garage compactor rooms, including deodorizing and power washing of garbage area.
- Notify tenants promptly for all job maintenance.
- Implement service requests from tenants and residents within 24-hour period.
- Timely respond to emergencies arising outside of normal business hours in like cases such as fire, flood, power loss, etc.
- Timely carry out snow removal to ensure grounds safety and accessibility to building and housing unit premises.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and make minor purchases as required.
- Prepare the vacant unit for the move in.
- Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in all building.
- May advertise vacancies, show units to prospective tenants and collect rent.
- Implement Management’s plans and policies to ensure the life and functioning of our buildings and equipment to tenants’ satisfaction.
Employment Requirements:

- Completion of high school education required.
- 6 months+ previous experience in building maintenance.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Language: English

Compensation: depending on experience
Benefits: Medical and dental benefits after 3 months of employment with 2 weeks
Vacation after one year.

Location: West End Vancouver

Pay: $17.97-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
