**About the role**

As a Unit Manager, Customers Accounts, you will supervise Account Receivable Agents who respond to customer account specific inquiries with the objective of enhancing relationships with clients and optimizing insurance premium collection. You will be responsible for the daily activities such as providing counsel, coaching and motivation of staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. As a Unit Manager, Customer Accounts, you must be knowledgeable regarding insurance concepts, be customer focused and results driven. The Unit Manager will work with all levels of management to review workflows, provide recommendations and be instrumental in the engagement and success of the team.

What you can expect in the role:
People Management:

- You will maximize people potential through continued development, monitoring, coaching and performance management.
- Provide appropriate and timely recognition of individual and team efforts, celebrate successes and milestones.
- Effectively manage and support teams (in office and remotely), leveraging tools to create an engaging work environment.
- Support and guide individuals and team with effective career pathing and development plans.
- Manage performance concerns including absenteeism, developing action plans as required.

Customer Driven:

- You will execute on opportunities to enhance relationships with clients with the objective to improve customer experience and reduce call inflow.
- Coach and mentor staff through ongoing call listening and task review to improve the customer journey.
- Encourage team to promote digital engagement tools to clients and brokers.
- Handle escalated client calls or correspondence and assists with client inquires when needed.

Operational efficiency and excellence:

- Conduct regular structured team meetings to keep team abreast of team results, AR developments and company news.
- Supervise accounts receivable agents who respond to customer account inquiries, aiming to meet WFM metrics.
- Monitor results against company/department/individual goals, identify gaps and opportunities and develop and execute action plans to close gaps.

Adherence to Company Policies & Procedures:

- You will ensure team members adherence to schedule, service quality, regulations and AR procedures.

**Skills**:

- College Diploma or University Degree preferred.
- Strong internal systems knowledge is an asset (Contact PL/ Contact Billing).
- Knowledge of Intact/belair accounting and collections processes.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
- Strong communication, problem solving and time management skills.
- Must be detail and results oriented.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Proficiency in a variety of PC Software, especially excel is an asset.
