**Overview**

**Responsibilities**:
**Safety**
- Ensure all safety requirements are followed and met, striving for zero safety incidents.
- Abide by the Stolk Construction H&S Manual, as well as the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects.
- Report any jobsite injury and/or illness in an immediate manner to the appropriate Supervisor and/or Director of Operations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety briefings and training as required.

**Knowledge of Work and Ability**
- Ability to finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, and restore and repair existing concrete structures.
- Competency in concrete forming techniques to create molds for pouring new concrete.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure project specifications are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Understand your role and responsibilities as they relate to a specific project.
- Take advantage of opportunities to learn from those onsite.
- Maintain a can-do attitude.
- Participate in site preparation activities, including clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures, to facilitate the construction process.
- Participate in controlled demolition activities, following safety protocols and guidelines to dismantle existing structures when necessary.

**Quality**
- Ensure the proper level of quality is maintained while also attaining the outlined timelines of the task.
- Communicate material and equipment needs to the General Foremen / Supervisor in a proactive manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris, sweeping, and disposing of waste materials appropriately.
- Track and properly manage all company tools and equipment assigned to you.
- Follow instruction in an effort to complete tasks correctly the first time.
- Be open minded to coaching and development opportunities.
- Submit accurately completely paperwork in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to concrete work.
- Knowledge of concrete forming methods and masonry skills.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, carrying heavy objects, and working in varying weather conditions.
- Understanding of construction tools, equipment, and techniques.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced tradespeople.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and follow instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety and quality.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
