**Overview** Great Lakes Concrete is a well established construction company catering predominantly to residental concrete projects througout the mid-western ontario area.

We are looking for mature, responsible, motivated and knowledgeable concrete finishers, carpenters and basic labourers for our busy year round projects.

Must possess valid minimum G License.

Have some concrete construction knowledge and be willing and able to learn new skills and grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently.

Be willing to work in all weather conditions.

Be someone who works well in a team and crew environment, as well as takes direction accurately and effectively.

Must be prompt and punctual for work days and must be available to work long hours and some weekend hours, as needed.

Qualifies for Extended Health Benefits after 3 months. (Medical/Dental/Eye Care ++)

Paid Weekly by Direct Deposit and Bonus Pay

Company uniforms and yearly boot allowance.

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Concrete finishing: 3 years (required)

Work Location: In person

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and set up concrete forms according to specifications.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using appropriate techniques.
- Finish surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for moving materials and equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during the concrete pouring process.
- Collaborate with other construction workers, including carpenters and masons, to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to maintain safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in concrete forming and finishing is essential.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday.
- Proficient in using power tools related to concrete work.
- Knowledge of masonry techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
