The Behavioral Analyst (BA) is responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans for clients with a variety of developmental and behavioral challenges.
The BA works with a diverse population, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and makes a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and their families. The BA also oversees the clinical supervision of behavior therapists (BT), ensuring the quality and effectiveness of interventions provided.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Clinical**:
- Complete behavioural assessments and plan treatment strategies in conjunction with team.
- Develop and implement individualized behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment results, ensuring that interventions are evidence-based and person-centered.
- Develop, implement and evaluates, in conjunction with treatment team members, evidence-based treatment plans responsive to client needs
- Participate in the development and delivery of educational and informational programs for residents and staff.
- Provide the on-going follow-up and support for clinical staff, working with individuals who present with complex care and behavioural issues and their families.
- Facilitate transfer of knowledge into practice and enhance staff’s ability to manage responsive behaviors and care plan interventions through role modeling, coaching, and mentoring.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, including data collection, reports, and session notes.
- Work in a manner that complies with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.
- Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and interdisciplinary collaborations to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
**Monitoring Behaviour Therapists**:
- Responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation and supervision of behaviour analytic treatment programs.
- BA is responsible for clinical supervision of the behavior analytic work of the behavioral therapists (BT).
- Monitors and evaluates client progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Oversees the work of behaviour therapists (BT), providing guidance and support to ensure the proper implementation of behaviour plans and strategies.
- Coordinate and monitor service delivery and assist in the development and delivery of training sessions for clients, staff and community partners.
- Support and oversee behaviour therapists

**Qualifications**:
- Master's degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
- Board Certification as a Behaviour Analyst (BA) in good standing with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Registration with the College of Psychologists and Behavior Analysts of Ontario, or eligibility and willingness to complete registration, is required.
- Direct clinical experience implementing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) required
- Strong ability to train others in ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) required.
- Specialized expertise in seniors' mental health, addictions, and forensics, with a deep understanding of best practices in these areas and their impact on residents, families, and care providers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legislation, policies, and regulations relevant to behaviour analysis and healthcare services in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of community resources for individuals with mental health & addiction issues
- Experience in the facilitation of group/individual training/education is considered an asset
- Experience conducting functional behaviour assessments (FBAs) and developing behaviour intervention plans (BIPs).
