The company is headquartered in Oakville, Ontario. In 2008, we opened our first Btrust Supermarket at the Golden Square, a shopping center in Mississauga, Ontario. Today, we manage a nationwide chain of 4 stores, covering an impressive 120,000 square feet and offering more than 20,000 different products, allowing families across Canada to enjoy fresh, healthy, and flavorful meals.

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with early morning produce purchasing at the Food Terminal, supporting product selection, price negotiation, and order placement to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections of produce, ensuring freshness, consistency, and adherence to company quality standards. Reject substandard goods and resolve quality-related issues promptly to maintain a positive brand reputation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and develop sourcing strategies to support the company’s cost-saving and quality objectives.
- Assist with purchasing documentation, filing, PO processing, and inventory records. Help track purchasing data and generate reports as required.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to monitor inventory levels, reduce shrinkage, and ensure stock freshness.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Ability to work early morning shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Previous produce buying experience or fresh food procurement knowledge is a asset.
- Familiarity with the Food Terminal or similar wholesale markets is an asset.
- Basic understanding of gross profit, pricing strategies, and cost controls.
- Knowledge of fresh produce quality standards and ability to perform product inspections.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as filing, PO processing, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or basic data entry systems is preferred.
