**VAC Developments** is a growing Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company located in Oakville. We are currently looking to hire **Assistant Buyer** to join our purchasing team. The Assistant Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials, subcontracting, supplies or equipment for a business.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist Senior Buyer with supplier recovery schedules to meet organization’s demand requirements.
- Verifies raw materials and outside processors meet customer requirements. Issues Requests for Quotes to selected vendors with appropriate drawings.
- Reviews quotes to determine which vendor has competitive prices and competitive lead items.
- Obtains approval of purchase order prior to release of purchase order. Monitors vendor quality and on time delivery.
- Maintains Approved Vendor List.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries.

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing procurement role buyer, procurement specialist, supply chain, etc. Purchasing certification preferred or a combination experience and education is acceptable.
- Intermediate knowledge and experience using MS Office (Excel. Word).

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Manufacturing: 1 year (required)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Purchasing: 1 year (required)
