Position Summery:
The role of Quality Technician has the following responsibilities.

1) Carry out daily quality control procedures for chemical batching, filling and wastewater lines.

2) Ensure the smooth operations of chemical wastewater plant - conducting wastewater sample testing and analysis, treating waste and maintaining accurate records.

3) Conduct analysis and create reports to support the ongoing development of the Company’s chemical and wastewater operations.

The role of Quality Technician is an important role supporting the daily operations of the company’s manufacturing and chemical treatment activities: maintaining quality standards and fulfilling the obligations of the company’s Quality Management system.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

- Support Chemical Manufacturing Operations in the daily manufacture of chemical bulk products ensuring all production activities are conducted safely and according to SOPS.
- Carry out daily quality control activities as required under the company QMS, ensuring daily sample and record keeping.
- Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to in all manufacturing areas.
- Create SOPs for the safe, efficient operation of the chemical wastewater plant and equipment.
- Work with Supervisors and Managers on continuous improvement initiatives, making recommendations for improvements and ongoing efficiencies.
- Ensure all equipment in the wastewater and chemical batching process: from incoming water and bulk chemical lines to the filling line reservoir tanks, is optimized and running efficiently.
- Ensure the safe storage and handling of raw chemicals within the warehouse and manufacturing areas.
- Daily meeting with Production supervisor to identify key manufacturing objectives and highlighting any raw material outages or production issues.
- Provide the Technical Manager with results form Wastewater testing reports, ensuring all records are kept according to QMS.
- Report any equipment issues or failures and make recommendations for improvement to Plant Supervisor

Experience, Key Attributes and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years Technical Process or Quality experience.
- Quality Management experience, including ISO and wastewater treatment.
- good IT and IS proficiency including experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential, French is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
