**Quality Assurance Specialist**
Label Innovation Inc has one opening for a permanent, full-time, Quality Assurance Specialist.
The Quality Assurance Specialist performs a variety of Quality and Production efficiency related functions including developing procedures, product testing, data analysis and various forms of record keeping. In addition to providing support and resolving quality related issues, the Quality Assurance Specialist has a key role in promoting continuous improvement. **This is not a Software Quality Assurance position.**
**Who you are**:
- Experienced in Quality Control / Manufacturing Management (3 years) or a university/college graduate in a technical discipline.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Minitab and generally comfortable with technology.
- Analytical and critical thinker / problem solver and able to work with and analyze numerical data.
- Methodical with superior attention to detail.
- Able to achieve planned results by utilizing organization and prioritization skills, while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Good communicator (verbal and written skills)
- Able to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures
- Experienced in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Able to use various measuring devices
- Multitasker with good time management skills
- Able to create and review technical documentation.
- Safety-first attitude
- Highly ethical worker
- Able to obtain Controlled Goods Certification
**Desirable**
- ASQ’s Quality Technician Certification. Other certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) would also be considered an asset, such as Quality Inspector, Quality Auditor, Quality Process Analyst, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Quality Improvement Associate.

**Primary responsibilities**
- Participates in quality team activities in support of ISO 9001:2015 requirements including planning, executing and reporting internal audits and assessments.
- Performs physical and visual inspections of in-process and finished product.
- Coordinates the review, approval and posting of Quality Management System documents.
- Performs data analysis for product final release and the validation of equipment, tooling and processes.
- Identifies and resolves quality nonconformances using structured problem-solving techniques to determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Trains personnel on quality/process control techniques
- Undertakes special projects as assigned
- Performs other duties relating to Quality Assurance as required.
