**Configuration Management Contracts Specialist (P54) Posting**
**P**osition Description**:
The CM Contract Specialist role acts as the primary Project/Programmatic interface between Configuration Management (CM), Project Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, Integrated Project Teams, Supply Change Management/Suppliers and the customer.
The CM Contract Specialist duties and responsibilities:
- Develop, document, coordinate and communicate how configuration management is to be applied/executed for each individual contract/program
- Support and provide SME judgement/guidance during negotiation of CM SOW portions of contracts at the Prime Contract level to ensure achievable CM requirements. Where applicable, generate necessary CM SOW language and associated CDRLS and DIDs as required.
- Using contractual and industry standard requirements as the basis, and in conjunction with other Integrated Project Team (IPT) members, develop the requirements for Configuration Management execution for each program and document in the Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
- Assist with Subcontract SOWs, including Subcontract Deliverables Requirements Lists (SDRLs), Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), Prime Contract flow down requirements and other necessary requirements
- Analyze Supplier/Subcontractor proposals for compliance to Prime and Sub-Contract requirements
- Assist with audit of Supplier/Subcontractors’ CM systems for compliance to Prime and Sub-Contract requirements
- Interface with customers and supplier/subcontractors on issues pertaining to the contract/program, as the CM SME and principle point of contact
- Preparation and submittal of Contract and Subcontract deliverables and other contractually required data ensuring content is complete, of good quality and submitted on schedule
- Working as part of the IPT, plan and conduct functional and Physical Configuration Audit (FCA/PCA) activities at the prime (customer) and sub-contract (Supplier/customer) level.
- Develop Supplier/Sub-contractor change processes such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Waiver & Deviation processing
- Prepare and process Class I ECP through to customer approval
- Act as primary CM POC for all IP, CUI & Data Rights requirements for individual Programs, coordinating with Program, Contracts and the customer as required.

- University Degree or college diploma
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
- Product Life Cycle (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) (i.e. Teamcenter), and Enterprise Resource Systems (ERP) system experience
- Experience with Bid & Proposal (B&P) development procedures and requirements
- Strong problem solving and decision making ability
- Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
**Preferred Requirements**:
- Contract Management experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
