**Position: Director of Business Development**
**The Role at a Glance**:
At Archive, we are passionate about creating and operating beautiful and inspiring destinations through our boutique hotel properties. Archive’s three hotels are treasured landmarks in special neighbourhoods: The Broadview Hotel in Toronto’s east end; Gladstone House in Toronto’s west end; and The Postmark Hotel, which is opening this year in Newmarket.

This position plays a key role within our hotels. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating corporate relationships and driving corporate rooms & events sales at all three properties. You will reshape our sales strategy, develop new corporate partnerships and increase revenue. This is an exciting time for Archive Hospitality, as we are on the cusp of opening The Postmark Hotel and are in the process of launching new restaurant concepts across the Toronto hotels.

**Your Day-to-Day Duties**:

- Identify new markets and business opportunities and secure new corporate/group partnerships through networking, prospecting and negotiating new business.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy goals for the hotels’ room and events spaces at our three hotel properties.
- Solicit new group sales accounts and maintain relationships with existing accounts.
- Collaborate and coordinate with our events team as required.
- Collaborate and coordinate with our room sales team as required.
- Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends and market conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote the hotel and generate leads.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for the management team.
- Comply with all Archive standards, policies and procedures at all times.

**You have**:

- Minimum of 5-years experience in sales and account management with hotels
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong motivational and leadership skills
- Ability to conduct market research
- Strategic planning skills
- Polished personal presentation with warm, confident and hospitable personality
