Research Assistants are normally students, in a University of Winnipeg undergraduate program, employed to assist with tasks related to research. Work is performed within defined guidelines and under supervision of a more senior researcher or faculty member.

**Position Overview**:
The Research Assistant will perform academic research related to the Museum Queeries project, including searching for relevant resources, reading and discussing relevant resources, and spearheading a small-scale research project connected to Museum Queeries based on their own interests and its intersection with the larger project.

**Duties**:

- Perform academic research
- Assist with duties related to the production of articles, publications, reports and presentations
- Prepare literature reviews
- Performs other duties as required or assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Course credits in Women’s and Gender Studies and/or equivalent experience
- Experience in Microsoft Word
- Experience in Google Docs / Google Drive
- Experience in literature review
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Demonstrated ability to accurately perform duties and meet specified deadlines

**Condition(s) of Employment**:

- **Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.**

The period of work will be from **October 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024 **and the estimated total hours of work will be **65 hours.**
