Research Assistant, Curating Symbolist Prints

Research Assistants are normally students, in a University of Winnipeg undergraduate program, employed to assist with tasks related to research. Work is performed within defined guidelines and under supervision of a more senior researcher or faculty member.
**Position Overview**:
The RA will help Professor Keshavjee curate an exhibition of Symbolist prints and sculpture at McMaster University. The student will contribute to the curation plan. This will involve researching individual works of art and writing and recording the wall labels for the art works. The Research assistant will contribute to the installation plan and create programming for the exhibition.
**Duties**:
- Researching Symbolist art, writing short entries on individual woks of art, and creating programming for the McMaster audience.
**Qualifications**:
- Honours Art History.
- GPA above 4.
- Knowledge of the Symbolist art movement is important.
- Strong research and writing skills are required.
- Knowledge of museum programming is desirable.
**Condition(s) of Employment**:
- **Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.**
The period of work will be from **January 5, 2026 - April 10, 2026**and the estimated total hours of work will be **45-50 hours**.
