**About us**

Royal York Childcare Centre is South Etobicoke's newest childcare facility We are looking for passionate Educators to add to our experienced childcare team. We are a professional and supportive team wanting to provide passionate Educators a fun and rewarding work environment. Our goal is to ensure we continue to provide young minds with the support and nuturing they deserve to build the best foundation to their education journey and over all development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with a diverse group of children of different ages and cultural backgrounds.
- Teach the children educational, social, and emotional skills.
- Prepare learning materials and maintain a preschool-appropriate workspace.
- Observe children's behavior and make appropriate changes to curriculum or classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents.
- Have knowledge of positive developmental practices.
- Experience in planning, carrying out and assessing developmentally appropriate curriculums
- Experience developing and planning individualized and large group setting learning activities
- Experience in providing a safe and healthy environment for the children
- Educators are sensitive and responsive to children
- Provides opportunities for active play especially outdoors
- Provides opportunities for developing motor, social, language and cognitive skills through play
- Positive interactions with staff, children, and families
- Experience documenting children's interests
- Is organized and works well under pressure
- Flexible - Sociable, approachable, and eager to learn and teach
- Experience in diaper/potty routine
- **Should be familiar with How Does Learning Happen and ELECT**:

- **A diploma in Early Childhood Education**:

- **and in good standing with the college of ECE's**:

- **Must be able to lift 20 kilos**:

- **current CRC (criminal reference screening -Police reference check**:

- **Up to date immunizations including TB test upon hire.**:

- **Up to date First Aid and CPR C**:

- **Food Handler Certified**

Perks:

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- in class: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- RECE (required)
- First Aid CPR Level C (required)
