Job Purpose
The Production Manager oversees paint manufacturing operations at our Plant 4 location, ensuring efficient production, consistent quality, and safety and environmental regulations compliance. This role is responsible for managing resources, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement to meet production goals while maintaining high standards for painted products.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to company standards.
- Lead and develop production teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to meet internal and customer specifications for painted products.
- Optimize paint production workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance throughput.
- Manage resources, including staffing, materials, and equipment, to achieve production targets.
- Identify and resolve production challenges to minimize downtime and maintain output.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics, using data to drive improvements and inform decision-making.
- Work closely with other departments, including maintenance, supply chain, and engineering, to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Develop and manage the production budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
- Oversee training programs for production staff to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
