Brantford, Canada Frost Building Systems Full time

This is a management level position responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for Frost Building Systems, interfacing with management personnel and company ownership on a continual basis. Responsible for oversight of all accounting processes and procedures ensuring they are managed and performed in a timely and accurate manner. The Controller coordinates the company’s month-end close and preparation of GAAP financial statements, job cost budgets and cost to complete reports, as well as provides project job cost and profitability reporting.

**Essential Duties And Responsibilities**
- Manage all financial records, banking and daily operations of the accounting department including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash Management
- Manage, mentor and train employees of the accounting staff
- Maintain a system of internal controls over financial, accounting and reporting functions
- Manage and maintain a weekly cash flow projection
- Establish, coordinate and enforce project specific accounting procedures
- Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets and forecasts
- Present prepared financial information in a monthly executive management meeting
- Coordinate and provide financial oversight of key job cost reports used by project management
- Responsible for all aspects of accounting and finance for a separate electrical subcontractor business
- Provide audit schedules as requested by external auditors
- Manage sales tax audits
- Identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls

**Qualifications/Experience**
- 10 years of job-related experience at a senior level, with 5 of those years of experience at the Controller level
- Proficient Microsoft Excel for the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and other accounting analysis that may be required by management
- Technical accounting proficiency and knowledge of best accounting practices
- Expertise in general ledger and job cost accounting month-end close and financial statement preparation, including work-in-process reports
- Quick study, problem solver, exhibits strong work ethic, and is self-motivated and proactive
- Experience in preparation of budgets, forecasts, projections and pro-formas with the ability to perform analytical analysis
- Team player with demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong MS Office skills

**Education/Certification**
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, with emphasis in Accounting
- BBA degree with emphasis in General Business or Finance considered
- CPA or MBA desirable

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
