We are looking for a Corporate Environment Summer Student to work with our Health and Safety team the summer of 2025. This role will focus on environmental compliance and best practice initiatives throughout our facilities at Cavendish Farms. Come and learn about our company and build your skills working in a diverse and interesting environment. You will be responsible for the delivery of an environmental related project over the summer where you will work with a variety of people in various locations and divisions. Be ready to be involved in several functions such as, providing environmental data analysis and reporting support, administration support, site visits for compliance, and support current initiatives within our environmental management system.
- Plan, develop, and deliver on an environmental specific project by the end of your summer term.
- Support the team as needed in environmental incident investigations, regulatory compliance, environmental management systems audits, and other environmental related activities
- Conduct site visits to identify opportunities across our operations in PE, NB, & NS
- Attend a post-secondary education in a related field (environment, sustainability, project management, engineering)
- Excellent ability to multi-task
- Solid analytical and data-driven thinking
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Functional time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as strong team player
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Ability to travel.
