Director, Corporate Pricing

Job Description Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Pricing, the Director, Corporate Pricing, will focus to grow top-line revenue and gross margin dollars by working closely with the Sales and Pricing teams in developing and implementing the company pricing strategy. This includes the ongoing development, implementation, and reporting of pricing strategies. As a key member of the Corporate Finance team, the Director, Corporate Pricing, will also have responsibility to provide analytics and recommendations on bids, and profitability enhancement initiatives. Responsibilities Provide leadership to the Pricing teams in the J.D. Irving, Limited – Moncton Group of companies. Working with the Pricing and Sales teams, develop trade investment and pricing strategies to ensure they are integrated and effective in driving sales growth and profitability. Help build out best practices for all companies by researching both internally and externally top strategic pricing practices and behaviors. Provide guidance to current pricing teams to help improve and optimize all price related models and tools. Facilitate and monitor company service level agreements and RFP’s. Work with the sales team and other resources to provide market intelligence and risk analysis (gain/loss in potential business) Champion process management within the Pricing teams while working closely with other departments and teams to meet customer expectations. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Business (professional Accounting or Pricing designation would be an asset) CPG and/or Transportation background required 10+ years of relevant work experience with a minimum of 5 years in a Director/Leadership role Proven leader and strong communicator: Ability to work effectively with various levels of the Company Self‑starter with a strong work ethic; respect for commitments Strong aptitude with numbers Ability to manage multiple priorities at once Results driven, strategic, and analytical thinker Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office About Us Founded in 1882, J.D.
