**About the role**:
**What will you do?**

**Data Engineering & Governance Documentation**:

- Document data pipeline architecture, transformations, lineage, and dependencies.
- Maintain current records of data engineering processes and controls.
- Assist in writing and maintaining data governance policies, including data quality, stewardship, metadata, and classification standards.

**Business & Technical Requirements Gathering**:

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and clarify intake requirements for BI dashboards, reports, and data solutions.
- Translate business needs into clear, structured technical requirements for developers and engineers.
- Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.

**Testing & QA**:

- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for AWS-based systems and services.
- Perform manual and automated testing of software/products, including data transformations and BI solutions.
- Conduct regression testing and system integration testing.
- Assist in coordinating UAT sessions with business users.
- Ensure testing results are documented, and defects are logged, tracked, and resolved.

**Cross-Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with BI analysts, data engineers/stewards, and project managers to ensure alignment between technical and business teams.
- Facilitate documentation handoffs and knowledge transfer for future support and scaling.

**What do you need to succeed?**
- 3+ years of experience in a technical Business Analyst, data analyst, or documentation-focused role.
- Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Expertise in data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, data pipelines/warehouses, AWS tools).
- Experience writing technical documentation (data lineage, test plans, process diagrams).
- Solid understanding of data governance principles (preferred: knowledge of frameworks like DAMA-DMBOK).
- Proficient with documentation and project management tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
