Team Members are encouraged to find a better way and are enabled to “Do things they never dreamed possible”. **Benefits of working here at Savage**: - We provide Uniforms & PPE (laundering included) - $200/year steel toe boot allowance - Paid Holidays - Excellent Benefits including medical, dental, vision, and RRSP with match - Rotating shift schedule to facilitate commissioning **Here is what you will be doing**: - Thoroughly inspect rail cars, primarily hoppers cars - Perform rail switching of rail hopper cars - Operate Car Mover to index hopper cars thru the wash tracks and loading tracks - Wash and dry empty rail hopper cars - Load rail hopper cars with bulk polypropylene pellets - Office related duties - some data entry - General Maintenance ("bolt on -bolt off") as well as cleaning, housekeeping and snow removal - Look to expand the role into rail switching and/or locomotive operation **This is what we need from you**: - A sound understanding or aptitude to learn the loading of bulk plastics - Understands, or willing to learn, railroad operations and safety - Mechanically inclined - Must be able to attend and pass all test associated with job related coursework. This includes, but it not limited to: IROR, CROR, WHMIS, TDG, - Willing to reliably fulfill the following work schedule: 12 hour rotating shifts (days and nights - A high school diploma - Experience in the petrochemical field or other industrial environment preferred - Locomotive operation and Railcar Mover operation experience is an asset Here are some of the Physical Requirements - Ability to work outside in any condition - Must pass a pre-employment physical, reference checks, drug screen, motor-vehicle report and criminal background check - Must be able to climb on and off the equipment, ascend and descend a ladder - Must be able to stand, kneel or crawl - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently Full job description available upon interview **Additional Information**: The complete job description is available upon request Savage has been designated as a Military Friendly Employer.
