The TransX Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a **Planner Level 2** to join the Operations department in our Winnipeg facility. This position is responsible for:

- Complete daily tracking reports, track inbound vessels and coordinating empty cube for the correct days
- Accepting tenders and generating orders in TMW
- Scheduling trans-loads with the warehouse; communicate drop and pick-up appointments to other department stakeholders as required
- Tender port pick-ups to carriers as required; communicate empty units to carriers for pick-up
- Prepare necessary paperwork for cross-dock and own paperwork flow through to load handoff
- Schedule unload crews when physical lumping is necessary
- Verify customs status of inbound loads. Complete all customs documentation procedures as required and maintain necessary record keeping
- Send arrival WACM messages to CBSA in a timely manner
- Track all shipments from arrival through to the point of handoff, ensuring timely resolution to transit delays in the lower mainland
- Create outbound manifests and assign orders accordingly
- Coordinate and assign moves to local dispatch and/or tender drayage to in-service carriers as required
- Request rail reservations, reserve intermodal cube and prepare bonded paperwork and intermodal billing
- Investigate delays, left-behinds, etc. and report concerns to the appropriate parties; escalate transit delays as required
- Respond to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain data integrity for all orders, including document scanning.

**Shift**: Weekend Shift ( Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm)

**Qualifications**

**Requirements**:

- Dispatch and planning experience in rail or road operations with temperature-controlled products would be considered an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A University degree is preferred.
- Superior organizational skills, including time management, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and good judgement.
- Proven ability to respond or escalate inquiries appropriately.
- Ability to communicate problems and solutions clearly to others.
- Proven ability to work independently is essential.
- Proficient in critical thinking and decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and foster relationships with internal and external customers.
- Driven to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Strong computer and analytics skills, including superior knowledge of spreadsheets and related software. Experience with T_MW _and_ Microsoft Excel _would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the Port and CN's network, including terminal abilities, challenges and cut-offs, would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of CBSA and bonded moves is considered an asset.
- Certification in Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred.
