Job description

King City Northway Forwarding is now hiring for a pricing coordinator.

After 40 years of continuous excellent service in the forwarding industry, we are now looking to expend and develop a new traffic coordinator department. Your role will consist of the below:
**TASKS**:

- Support business development initiatives by providing competitive and timely quotations;
- Quickly and accurately prepare ocean import quotes;
- Leverage system to ensure live bookings have valid quotes;
- Assist management in partner performance management by providing data and insight to rates and services.
- Monitor and maintain competitive rates
- Understanding client requirements in order to provide competitive and accurate quotations and adjust pricing approach as needed to drive profitability.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on pricing strategy and maximize business potential with clients
- Coordinate and perform, as a team, all rate procurement from vendors and all rate sheet quotations to customers before the end of the month.
- Ensure frequent and open lines of communication between the company and carrier lines and vendors to ensure rates are competitive and received in a timely manner to provide to customers.

**REQUIRMENTS**
- Detailed oriented and organized.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to perform tasks with high degree of accuracy.
- Possess negotiation skills with the ability to have professional and targeted discussions with vendors.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, in time sensitive environment.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and targets.
- Understanding of shipping, logistics industry knowledge.
- Zendesk an asset.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.

This position requires at least 5 years experience in the pricing industry

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year
