As an Actuarial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing team expertise and guiding skilled actuaries to meet business demands. Reporting to a Senior Manager, the Manager is expected to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. RESPONSIBILITIESManager, Usage Based Insurance (UBI) Pricing Monitor driving patterns and competitive trends of UBI program, ensuring our strategy stays ahead of the curveLead the development and continuous improvement of the UBI pricing strategyResearch and champion innovative ways to leverage UBI data to support business strategiesManager, Pricing OptimizationDesign and oversee implementation of pricing optimization strategies across personal linesGuide the development and application of advanced optimization techniques to recommend premium adjustmentsContinuously monitor and refine performance of deployed strategies to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness Manager, Financial PerformanceGuide the development and implementation of a financial projection framework for pricing changesEstablish collaboration with Finance and Corporate Actuarial teams to track and monitor actual financial performance against projectionsContinuously improve financial tracking processes Manager, Risk Sharing Pool (RSP) Strategy and PerformanceCentralize, streamline and optimize RSP cession strategy at a national levelEstablish and achieve financial objectives for each poolMonitor and analyze cession results and pool performance to ensure optimal outcomesJOB REQUIREMENTSUniversity degree in Actuarial Science or related field8+ years of related experienceAdvanced Analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAutonomous and resilient; shows initiative and creativity in their workPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior experience with predictive modelingPrior people management experienceFCIA/FCAS or at least 7+ actuarial examsWho We Are:As part of TD Bank Group, one of Canada's largest financial institutions, at TD Insurance, we care for Canadian families, making it easy to get the best advice, protection, and support in their moments of need, always.TD Insurance offers a wide range of products, including General Insurance and Life and Health.
