**Details**:Full Time, Days, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday,

8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

**Pay Scale**:Commensurate with education and experience

**Location**: Central Services, 14220 - 109 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB

T5N 4B3, and various locations throughout Edmonton
- (travel between other GEF sites may be required, mileage paid)_

**Typical Duties**:
The Housing Placement Coordinator (HPC) works to transition housing applicants into an appropriate GEF Seniors Housing program, supporting the organization’s management of its housing units. The HPC conducts intake and transfer interviews, manages waitlists, coordinates move-in procedures, maintains documentation, prepares housing reports, and completes applicant reference checks. The HPC is proactive, flexible and collaborative and demonstrates considerable respect, compassion, sensitivity, independent judgement and attention to detail in dealing with clients, GEF communities and partner agenices.

**Experience/Education Requirements**:

- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Diploma or degree, preferably in Social Work, Human Services, Human Ecology, or Gerontology
- Minimum three years of experience working with vulnerable population
- Experience working with Seniors is an asset
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office

**Attributes**:

- Strong customer service skills including the ability to interact and build relations in a respectful manner
- Strong assessment, interviewing, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must have vehicle and valid driver’s license and be able to submit a copy of drivers license upon request

**The successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal records check and be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.**
