**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Operations Director, the EH&S Coordinator will be responsible for the successful execution of the FilterBoxx Environment, Health, and Safety Programs. The EH&S Coordinator will collaborate with divisional personnel to ensure all practices are compliant with applicable health and safety regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for execution of the health and safety program including employee competency tracking, hazard assessment, policy review and revision, training, statistics tracking, and overall program monitoring and reporting. Field work may include but is not limited to investigations, inspections, and audits.
The EHS Coordinator will oversee and ensure the continued success of the company's environmental compliance program as required for operational activities. Observe compliance trends, indicators, and potential incidents and provide recommendation in support of constant improvement or immediate corrective actions.
The role requires strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, and previous experience with cloud-based data management software is an asset. The EHS Coordinator will be working with many different departments and personnel requiring strong multi-tasking, prioritization, time management, and organizational skills. Occasional travel to field offices and remote locations is required.

**Health and Safety**
- Develop, lead, and advise on Environmental, Health and Safety policies, practices, and initiatives
- Work with Management, Supervisors, and Employees to communicate and implement policies, standards, and practices in line with Company business plans, legislation, and client requirements
- Report on emerging trends, leading, and lagging indicators and relevant EHS activities within the organization
- Consistently monitor changes to safety legislation how they affect the organization, and update policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance
- Ensure standard program documentation is conducted including hazard/ risk assessments, inspections, and job safety analysis
- Collaborate with appropriate departmental personnel to resolve identified hazards and deficiencies
- Conduct incident investigations: work with appropriate personnel to ensure investigation and action items are complete and satisfactory
- Assist in monitoring contractors and work activities to ensure safe work practices are being followed
- Participate in project team meetings and provide guidance for EHS activities. Reviewing contractor EH&S programs and approve contractors and 3rd party vendors
- Facilitate monthly safety meetings and present safety-related information both internally and externally using meetings, message boards, and other written / verbal communication methods as appropriate
- Develop and implement programs to encourage, reward, and recognize employee safe behavior, involvement, and commitment toward safety
- Lead WCB case administration, injury management, and modified work programs
- Ensure internal (employees) and external (contractors, visitors, etc.) safety training and communications are completed
