**Position Overview**: We are hiring Snow Maintenance Team Member to work with our winter snow clearing maintenance crew to keep outdoor living spaces looking their best. We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals, as this is an on-call, seasonal position with early-morning starts, ensuring our clients’ residential and commercial properties are safe and accessible throughout the winter months.
**What You’ll Do**: - Be on-call and ready to start shifts when snow falls or ice events occur.
- Typical shifts are 10-13 hours, often beginning in the early morning (start times may be as early as 3:00 AM).
- Report for duty at the designated crew meeting point, reliable transportation is required to reach the site.
- Use a shovel (and other hand tools as required) to clear snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, driveways, entrances, etc.
- Arrive prepared with appropriate winter clothing (boots, gloves, jacket, snow pants, etc.).
- Maintain a safe work pace and strong attention to detail under winter weather conditions.
- Follow instructions from crew leads, and work effectively as a crew member.
- Demonstrate punctuality, reliability and strong work ethic (we call you, you answer; you accept a shift, you show up).
- After the winter season, opportunities may exist for summer employment with our company (based on performance).
**What We’re Looking For**: - Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Reliable transportation to surrounding areas in Winnipeg/Headingley/St. Andrews.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and work with hands for long periods of time.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to listen to and follow instructions from supervisors.
- A team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working outdoors in cold weather.
- Comfortable working weekends when required based on weather and schedule.
- A positive attitude, good teamwork and a willingness to learn.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License preferred.
