Every year CHEO helps more than 500,000 children and youth from Eastern Ontario, western Quebec, Nunavut and Northern Ontario.- The Clinical Manager in Neurodevelopmental Health will provide day-to-day management and coordination of services and will be responsible for the implementation of the program’s operational and strategic objectives. They will directly supervise and facilitate development of staff within the program and oversee the establishment of a strong cohesive team. Working with the Director of Neurodevelopmental Health and the Leadership team, the incumbent will contribute to program planning, implementation and quality improvement initiatives. The successful incumbent is someone who will oversee the delivery of a program based on the strengths and needs of the children and their families and foster a strong culture of continuous learning.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Oversee day to day operations of Neurodevelopmental Health Care at CHEO.- Ensure optimal utilization of internal resources and establishment of streamlined processes- Contribute to the development of the program policies and procedures- Manage human resources effectively which includes:

- Collaborating with Talent Acquisition to hire staff
- Collaborating with CHEO Scheduling Office to schedule staff and manage attendance
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Conducting performance appraisals and collaborating with Labour Relations in dealing with performance related issues, imposing discipline, recommending terminations
- Ensuring staff have the required resources to carry out their functions
- Facilitate interdisciplinary processes and team functions- Monitor clinical, operational and fiscal indicators.- Work in collaboration with staff and physicians in other Programs/Departments to ensure effective delivery of patient care/services.- Provide information and updates to the Finance Department, Director, and other members of the Executive Team on service provider contract status, service statistics or quality information.- Prepare analyses and make recommendations to the Director if/when formal performance management remedies are required to address unmet contractual obligations.- Follow up on Incident reports generated through the Safety Reporting System.- Manage within assigned budgets; monitor expenses; process payments.- Ensure the development and ongoing updating of the program manuals/procedures/policies. Ensure that all revisions and additions are communicated to relevant parties.- Ensure any service provider contracts are appropriately updated as required.- Work collaboratively to resolve any patient experience concerns brought forward by patients and/or families.- Respond to environmental issues to provide for a safe and healthy work environment and support offsite Joint Health & Safety processes, as set out by Ministry of Labour.- Operate as a general manager for offsite locations (duties such as: resource management, liaison with property management, and coordination of offsite services - e.g. linen services).- Participate on internal and external committees as required (e.g. Family Advisory committee, accreditation, etc.).- Represent the program at the hospital, regional and provincial level, as required.- Work effectively with community partners and school boards.- Participate in Qua
